Just look back at our foreign policy and tell me we didn't contribute to some of the chaos in the middle east.

Did you known I believe that during ww2 more purpose Ricans were sent to war than any other state and many Puerto Ricans were experimented on and sterilized that is just some of the oppression you really don't hear about

Well I see the politics debate has somewhat subsided. I will say this as an argument against big government and the government regulating everything. Government regulators are STUPID! We refuse to take any government projects because you were working with guys who have no clue about what they are doing but they think they know more than you. When they break what you make for them then they blame it on you because it could never be their fault. Seriously big government is dangerous because why would you want people to make rules for your way of life when they have no clue what your way of life is like. I work for a pump manufacturer and I'm just waiting for a day when the government regulates that all pumps must have 90% efficiency which is more efficient than any pump in existence by the way. The stupid EPA already has killed most of the US domestic steel production but we're saving the planet right? Oh never mind we will just make it so we have to get our steel from Korea or other sources (that's just where our suppliers get their steel from). At least we can feel better about ourselves even though the same amount of environmental impact is being made it's just not being made here but we do now have to ship it across the world to get it and I'm sorry but you guys can't live without steel. I am anti morons killing local industries so now we have to get everything from foreign sources and are no longer independent. Sorry but you can't ever convince me more government and more regulations is the way. My sales manager always tells me the story whenever I ask if we should quote an Army Core of Engineers job of when he had to talk on the phone with one of those guys on a job that they were trying to install and he said to the guy I'm sorry but you are just too stupid to explain this to.

@strikerusa. How are you brother.... I'm a welder/fabricator and I hate using steel electrodes that state made in China.... Makes me wonder if this is going to be quality steel lol.... We must bring life back into our domestic industry... America first..... We do more for other countries than all our allies combined.... We even assist our enemies with humanitarian aid to our own detriment..... America can be great again... And strong.... But self reliance is a must.... Using our resources, in our industry..... We should kill all govt regulation and oversight that is the stranglehold on our industry..... So much regulation you can't breathe anymore.... Where are the Patriots???? Yeah we are pretty much the only pump manufacturer that can say we're made in America. The steel column pipe you have to buy to go along with our pumps it's impossible to get stuff made in the US. We need to bring industry back.

@Striker i never said federal government should control everything I said there are certain aspects that are better hands in the hands of the feds. What have the states done to provide better health care for people? It's a matter of fact that state officials are often in the hands of lobbyists who don't give dam about you but only care about passing laws that would benefit them. Blah blah government ass holes are controlling and telling me how to live my life but when rich corporations fck over the poor and increase the income gap and work on preventing smaller industries from rising through lobbying I'm just turn away and keep complaining about the government. Btw Democratic socials does not look to give the government all the power but rather give employees and unions more power and safety nets.

well let's talk about what these regulations have done for us. Now I can agree that not all regulations that have been placed are effective and don't make sense. let's look at other countries who have 0 regulation. China and India have no restriction on coal and yet They are the 2 countries with the most intense air pollution in the world. And that alone causes a lot of health issues on those countries and not to mention that damage it does to fish due to the acid rain. And that's why I say there is no point in continuing with coal and we should look for alternative methods. If we leave this to the states 0 progress will be made because those lobbyist will prevent anything from being done to help protect the environment and rather only look to protect their own greed.
