Unlockable Chat

The devs have said they are getting rid of public chat in a future update. I think Chat should be a feature that unlocks when you reach a certain rank. That way new players can't start trolling chat. They would have to invest some time playing the game, which would hopefully deter them.

Great idea Sith. It would also stop players who have multiple accounts that they use purely for filling public chat with garbage, or for telling other players what a legend their other alter ego is.

Some of the players you encounter in Public Chat would be rank 2,000 if they spent as much time on the battlefield as they spend in PC. LOL

Hopefully they don't delete it part of the problem is people who can't take a joke or they start crap with other players but way there should be a rank requirement to chat in public but are they still going to have clan chat and clan wars or are they going to still have that just not public chat.if they do delete public they should make a clan chat where all the clans can come in and talk because it seems like most not all but most players that are worth talking too are in clans

Even in clan there are offensive players, I was told by a certain vondoobie that the worst one was a certain wittman

I was in a clan like that fought aigaisnt each other more then we fought in brigade wars it was pethatic I'm glad CAG brought me in I think having positive leaders and mature friends have a lot to do with overall player attitude and social friendliness

Why would they remove public chat? Of course in any chat there will always be trolls and flaming. Best thing to do is ignore them, move on and let the trolls rot in their
own lonely festering tarter sauce of a life.

Too many people wear their feelings on their sleeves... Political correctness is a cancer.... Freedom of speech should reign... You have the right to speak your mind, I have the right to get offended or agree with you.... They're just feelings... Too many people whining over this.... I play Robokrieg also and they have kept all chat functionality.... This is really a shame to see adult men acting like children in public chat

The chat troling isue is caused by bad account managment of the Devs. They wanted to have a huge account record to atract new gamers. To achieve that goal easily they thought of a "hack" to save time. Instead of creating an account when you first install and then logging in to that account everytime you want to play and thus have one and only one account per e-mail, they opted to have a random account generated for you everytime you reinstall the game. This makes it possible to have multiple accounts on the same e-mail and mac adress legitimately. This means that most of us have more than one account whether we know it or not.
The result is over 1 million accounts for less than 100.000 active players. This makes Armored Aces a hacker/troll friendly eco system. Trying to fix the chat troling by banning the chat instead of stoping the ingame automated account generation is inherently idiotic and will only serve to kill this game. You can't have an internet multyplayer app without any means of embeded comunication for the users of said app.
