I payed for premium play and was told by the game that xtra options would be opened.  This never happened and any of the xtra options under the ? We’re still covered. Am I reading this wrong or is this a game glitch?

You don't get extra options for Platinum Account, you get extra coins for every match you play. After the match you will see 2 coin amounts at the top. You should be making the higher amount because you have a platinum account.
It doesn't unlock extra options.
