The German Range Finder lately. First shot (on target) is a miss 70% of the time. My 212 and Jagd IV are always hitting Low when On Target, I do better hunting Gophers. I have a great Gopher collection if anyone wants one. Smile

Deflects with them (at times(more so with the 212)) can be a pain.

I really have my doubts about the Jagdpanzer IV 345 meter range (at times), I had a hellcat behind me (my team, about 4 tank lengths), already shooting at the same targets as myself and I still couldn't see it. I had to move forward, acquire the target about another 4 tanks lengths ahead (3 targets) lit myself up and the fireworks started, then move back again out of range.  These are recent occurrences where I'm taking hits from T1s, VK45s (which I own) that don't have any Stats showing above their heads and I haven't fired a shot off yet to give my position. I know their both gauged at 330 meters. Cheats,Hacks,Devs? It's a mystery.

Just my personal views and comments on the subject.

I hear you on German tank accuracy. First round after you stop almost never hits. Makes peekaboo a pain.

Its possible the hellcat was shooting at muzzle blast. Using your extra view range is tricky. They literally have to be at the very edge of your view ring. If any part is past it, they can see you..also, if you can see their overhead marker, then you are definitely too close.

Yes it is a bit tricky but I use that method regularly with the JPIV. I expect some feed back from the enemy when I fire off a shot, but not when I haven't and already taking fire from the T1s, 212s, and VK45s sitting on the edge of the ring with a 330 meter range to them.

It's a mystery. Smile

So after careful consideration from using the 212 and JagdpanzerIV exclusively, I have been encountering a lot of Missed shots, Jumping Green Bead (In VR Mode) after the shot was fired which results in a miss, 2 hits out of 6 shots (on target), very slow response from the JPIV now going anywhere, Video very choppy and virtually useless in hitting targets (in some games), First shot on target is more times a miss than not.

So until AA can get this sorted out, I'm hanging the tracks up. It's gotten ridiculous in the last couple of days (for me personally) when half the shots I make actually hits something.

Sith, you have been a great help in my endeavors with AA over the last 2 years or so, and I thank you for that. You have made a great site here for us to get together again but I am absolutely fed up with this.

Take Good Care everyone and Happy Hunting (if you can manage to hit it).

Yeah I play less and less these days. The RNG on damage and bogus missed shots is hard to deal with. Used to be confident in what I would do damage wise to a red tank depending on where I shoot but now I see my shell hit the sides of a tank and do 50% damage or only 100% damage to the rear of a tank when it should be 150% and those are the shots that hit not counting all the misses. I think they need better servers because when they trialed the split servers and I had green ping for once I had far less ridiculousness.

When you can't give the support the team needs because of these To High, To Low, Deflects and Jumping Bead shots (after you fire), then (personally) their isn't much point in it. It's a great game, but until the Devs get this (German VF) sorted out, I'm just going to lay back for awhile.

All I would like in battle is to Point, Aim, Fire, Hit, don't think that's to much to ask for is it? It does seem to be an unreachable goal with this game which has been occurring more frequently in recent days (for me personally).

These are just my personal views and comments here folks and is in no way reflective of the great people that play this game, thanks to you all for the support in battle and I do hope the Devs gets this German stuff sorted out, I can't speak for other tanks except for the ones I use (212, JagdPanzerIV).

Guys i thank you you for bringing this problem up. I have strugled a lot with this inconsistency since the E100 was introduced and i got a german line tank for the fisrt time. Unfortunately this  problem is due to a mix of things.
#1) Sight.
The gun sight on the german line is wrong. In real sights all the top corner of the triangles were at the same line.
What's Up With 66
In armored aces they positioned the midle triangle a tad higher so the green dot would be visible and be at the same line with the small triangles. This causes a lot of aiming problems especialy for guys like me that have used german sights in tank simulations.
#2) Reticle Bounce.
Every time you stop the tank even in level ground from as little as 1 kmh the gun reticle bounces violently up and down and stabilises after almost a full second. This kills any attempt at peek a boo and makes me miss many shots although i wait for it to settle down. It has even happened to me just by moving the turret.
#3) CEP.
Every gun has a Circular Error Probable called CEP in the army jargon. This is a circle where 50% of the shots go, however  it can be way off the intented target!!! This hidden stat is probably copied directly as most other stats from WOT. Originally the highest CEP was in the US line but most likely the German line CEP has increased lately.

#4) Object collision detection.
This "simple" piece of code that tracks shot trajectory since the 90s has been broken from the get go! It actually is the game's achiles heel. Depending on update version, your internet connection stability and the servers "feelings" some times there is no collision detection at all and wether the shot hits or not is decided arbitrarily by the software when the shot is fired, and you just see the shot land as an after effect sprite. This is why some times you can make your enemy miss and other times it is impossible and you get hit even when you are behind cover.

I hope this helps you get some closure and not rage quit. Let me know of your thoughts.

Thanks for the input MM.

I really don't mind losing when a good battle has been played in it, but losing because of 3 deflects 1 miss (my fault) and 1 hit out of 5 in a dog fight (the other tank initiated) with the JPIV I was in to take it out, then 2 more deflects on the next target wears on you a bit.

This isn't a 1 time occurrence with myself (personally) this seems to be more prevalent lately with the German tanks I use. I have pretty much most of my game plays on video, and when I go back and compare what's happening over the last couple of years, you can see it as plain as day.

So either the Devs are messing with it or their are hacks to cause that, it needs to be corrected either way. Until the Devs decide to actually deal with this issue, I will be laying low for a while and just playing the game off and on to see if the porblems mentioned above have been corrected.

Until then, that will be my position with this game play. I can't go out in battle and have 1/3 to 1/2 of my shots being No Hits (on target) or Deflects to be any good for my team mates, this is a detriment to them.

This wasn't the case when I first got the JPIV, either the devs correct these issues or (personally speaking) I will just lay low on this game and try something else.

I just hate other clans in a random battle,you have them on your side and they never help out and work as a team,they just hate the SWD tag and let you get killed,a bunch of losers.you should act as a team to try and win the Battle
